Microsoft Teams with HUMAIN to Develop Arabic AI
Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is expanding its AI footprint in the Middle East through a long-term partnership with HUMAIN, sponsored by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
HUMAIN will work with Microsoft to speed up the adoption of enterprise AI across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and Africa region.
A key component of their collaboration is the development of Arabic-language AI. This focus on local language models could make AI tools more effective for government, corporate, and consumer use in the region.
The partnership bolsters Microsoft's position in one of the most aggressive AI investment markets in the world. Saudi Arabia is pouring money into data centers, processors, and AI infrastructure to build a more resilient digital sector and reduce its reliance on oil.
