Microsoft Unveils Disc-to-Digital Feature for Xbox Insiders
Microsoft has begun testing a new feature for Xbox Insiders called Disc-to-Digital. This tool allows console owners to transfer their physical Xbox One and Series X discs into full digital licenses.
The rollout of this functionality is reported by gaming resources, citing Xbox ecosystem updates and Microsoft's official instructions. Digitized projects receive all the benefits of modern digital versions, including support for cloud gaming through a Game Pass subscription and cross-platform game play on PC.
According to Microsoft's documentation, users can insert a compatible disc into their console and launch the game while logged in to their account. A confirmation of the digital license will appear on the screen, and all such games will be marked with a special badge in the 'My games & apps' section.
