Microsoft Unveils Microsoft 365 G7 for Government Agencies
Microsoft has announced the launch of Microsoft 365 G7, a new suite designed specifically for government agencies operating in Government Community Cloud (GCC) environments. This new offering brings together productivity, AI, agents, security, identity, compliance, and governance capabilities to support government organizations as they accelerate mission outcomes.
The need for modernization and cybersecurity is growing, and Microsoft 365 G7 aims to address these needs by providing a unified control plane for AI adoption, known as Agent 365. This control plane will help organizations discover, register, and manage agents and take governance actions such as deploying, blocking, or removing them.
Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered Microsoft 365 experiences are integrated into the applications government employees already use, making everyday work simpler and more efficient. The new suite also includes mission-focused agents grounded in Work IQ, which operate in accredited government clouds with policy-governed access for connecting to approved agency systems and data.
The launch of Microsoft 365 G7 is part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to support public sector transformation, helping public servants apply AI with the intelligence to support the mission and the controls to move forward with confidence. Both Microsoft 365 G7 and Agent 365 will be available for GCC customers on October 1.
