Microsoft Unveils New Surface Laptops and Tablet with Upgraded Performance
Microsoft has released two new Surface devices: the Surface Laptop 8 and the Surface Pro 12. Both run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 chips, which provide better graphics performance than their predecessors.
The Surface Laptop 8 comes in 13.8- and 15-inch sizes, with a new Jade finish option for the smaller model. The laptops' displays have not been upgraded to OLED, but the 15-inch model now features a 120Hz LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 3,270 x 2,180.
The Surface Pro 12 is available in Platinum, Black, and Dune finishes. It can be configured with either an LCD or OLED display, which determines its CPU, RAM, and storage options. The new model's battery life should see a small improvement over the previous generation.
