Microsoft Unveils Project Opal to Automate Repetitive Tasks in Copilot

Microsoft has announced Project Opal, a new AI-powered tool designed to automate tasks within Microsoft 365 Copilot. The company's CEO, Satya Nadella, described this as the 'next frontier' for Copilot.

Project Opal uses artificial intelligence (AI) reasoning to plan and execute workflows automatically. This allows users to initiate or repeat tasks with ease, while maintaining transparency through live monitoring and a computer view. The tool also ensures data security by running on secure cloud PCs.

The feature is currently available for early-access users through Microsoft's Frontier program.
