The numbers are substantial: Microsoft's fiscal fourth-quarter capital expenditure reached $41 billion, including $5.6 billion in finance leases. Operating cash flow was $55.4 billion, but free cash flow landed at just $19.6 billion. The company's cloud division generated $59.3 billion in revenue, accounting for approximately 69% of quarterly cloud sales.

The 'useful yield' metric matters as investors await proof that these massive expenditures can generate strong returns before technological advancements and power bottlenecks become concerns. Microsoft's share price sits 14.39% below its estimated value, but this alone is not enough to convince investors.
