Microsoft has been working to make it difficult for users to set up Windows 11 without a Microsoft account, but a recent discovery suggests there may be an easier way around this requirement. On the latest Windows 11 Home installation media, clicking on a small 'Learn more' link on the Microsoft account sign-in page takes users directly to a screen where they can create a local account.

This method, discovered by Bob Pony and tested by Windows Latest, is remarkably simple and does not require any technical expertise. Users do not need to disconnect their Wi-Fi or use command prompts or registry edits.

The 'Learn more' link is hidden in plain sight on the Microsoft account sign-in page, and clicking on it takes users directly to a screen where they can create a local account. This method works even on the latest Windows 11 Experimental Insider build, 29677.
