Microsoft is launching Project Zenith, a developer-focused Windows 11 experience that comes with coding tools and system settings already configured.

The initiative combines a streamlined Windows environment with high-end hardware capable of running large AI models locally.

Zenith devices will use AMD's Ryzen AI Halo platform, with additional systems from other chipmakers and PC manufacturers expected in the coming months.

Made for developers who need to run complex AI workloads, Zenith devices will include at least 64 GB of unified memory and memory bandwidth exceeding 250 GB per second.

This will allow developers to run models containing more than 30 billion parameters locally without paying for cloud-based tokens.
