Microsoft's Shift in Corporate Culture Leaves Tech Pro Impressed

Sailesh Gurung, a tech professional, made a significant career move from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to Microsoft. This transition not only changed his job role but also his perception of corporate life.

Gurung started his career at TCS as a fresher straight after graduation. He wrote on Instagram that his idea of corporate life was 'log in, follow the process, log out.' However, this perception changed when he joined Microsoft.

The biggest difference Gurung experienced at Microsoft was the overall flexibility he had in how he showed up and worked. Unlike TCS, where employees were expected to wear formal clothes every day, Microsoft's dress code was more relaxed, requiring only being presentable.

Gurung also appreciated the variety of spaces available for collaboration and relaxation at Microsoft. He enjoyed the unique opportunity to share the campus experience with loved ones during weekends and after work hours. The emphasis on end-to-end ownership of projects gave him a sense of responsibility and growth, which he believed was absent in his previous role.
