Three women have refiled their individual Mielle Organics Hair Oil class action lawsuits as one multi-plaintiff complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on December 12, naming Mielle Organics LLC and The Procter & Gamble Company as defendants.

The plaintiffs claim that the products do not work as advertised and can cause hair loss due to certain ingredients.

The consolidated complaint seeks class action status to pursue damages on behalf of all consumers who paid a premium price for hair oil that may cause them to lose hair.

According to the complaint, no reasonable consumer would have paid any amount for cosmetic products that contain ingredients causing hair loss and other injuries or containing a high risk of causing hair loss or other injuries.
