More than 1 million attic stairway ladders have been recalled after reports of falls and injuries. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall, which includes ladders sold at Home Depot and Lowe's among other retailers. The affected ladders were manufactured by Louisville Ladder Inc. and are part of several brand names.

The problem lies in the bolts on these ladders, which can break, causing falls and injuries. There have been 11 reports of broken bolts, including one case where someone was injured in the neck, head, and back. The affected ladders were sold nationwide between November 2012 and July 2026.

If you own one of these ladders, stop using it immediately and visit the website www.atticstairwayrecall.expertinquiry.com to obtain a free repair kit. You will need the ladder's model number, which can be found inside the attic door.
