Millionaire Gen Zers Get Goldman Sachs Bootcamp
Goldman Sachs recently hosted its third annual NextGS Investment Intensive Program in New York City. Fifty young adults, all between the ages of 18 and 23 from ultra-rich families, participated in a two-week bootcamp on investing, wealth management, and leadership.
The program included workshops led by senior Goldman Sachs leaders and industry experts, covering topics such as reading market news, equity trading, hedge funds, and portfolio diversification. The attendees also received guidance on luxury items like art, collectibles, and watches, as well as real estate and infrastructure investments.
Brittany Boals Moeller, region head of Goldman Sachs' San Francisco PWM division, explained that the program aimed to give these young adults confidence in understanding markets and communicating effectively. 'They're thinking about their first jobs,' she said. 'They're thinking about how their careers are going to start, and so I actually think these concepts of leadership and communication and presence are super important for them.'
The attendees also explored alternative investments, including cryptocurrency and AI. Boals Moeller noted that AI came up in almost every session.
