Missouri Educators Get Free AI Training Through Google Partnership
The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education have partnered with Google to provide free AI training for educators, students, and job seekers. This partnership is part of Google's Grow with Google initiative, which aims to equip residents with skills needed to stay competitive in an economy rapidly reshaping by AI.
The training will include Google Career Certificates and Google AI courses, designed to help Missourians build job-ready AI skills for higher-earning careers. The online training is available free of charge, and individuals can register online to secure a free license.
According to the state, nearly 100,000 active educators and 1.1 million students across all levels of education will benefit from this partnership. Officials say the tools are intended to streamline educator workloads, allow teachers to create customized classroom materials, and give students access to more interactive learning experiences.
