Moderna-Merck Vaccine Success Validates CancerVax Platform

CancerVax, Inc., a preclinical biotech company developing a revolutionary universal cancer treatment platform, welcomed news about the recent positive Phase 3 clinical trial results from Moderna and Merck's INTerpath-001 study of a personalized cancer vaccine for melanoma based on LNP-mRNA technology.

The Company believes these results de-risk the mRNA technology used in its own non-personalized, off-the-shelf cancer vaccines currently in pre-clinical development. LNPs (lipid nanoparticles) and mRNAs (messenger ribonucleic acids) form the foundation of both the Moderna/Merck vaccine and the CancerVax platform.
