Mombak Delivers First Reforestation Carbon Credits to Google and McKinsey Early

Mombak, a Brazil-based carbon project developer, has delivered its first reforestation-based carbon removal credits to corporate buyers including Google, McKinsey & Company, and Bain & Company. The company's solution focuses on large-scale reforestation of degraded pastureland with native tree species, aiming to capture carbon, reverse biodiversity loss, and generate employment in local communities.

Mombak has signed deals with Microsoft and Google, and was selected by the Symbiosis Coalition as its first nature restoration project. The company's new deliveries include over 21,000 tonnes of CO2 removed from the atmosphere by its native biodiverse projects in the Amazon. Credits were delivered to companies including Symbiosis members Google, McKinsey, and Bain, as well as Climeworks, Commons, McLaren Racing, and Union Square Ventures.

Mombak's CEO Gabriel Haddad Silva stated that 'Trust is earned through delivery.' The company has demonstrated its ability to deliver quality and execution by issuing real carbon removal credits ahead of schedule. Mombak's new sales contracts and deliveries against existing agreements were completed more than two years ahead of expectations.
