Monstropolis Brings Beloved Monsters, Inc. Franchise to Life at Disney World
The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is expanding its themed experiences with the addition of Monstropolis, a Monsters, Inc.-themed park. The new area will be located within Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park and is set to open early next year.
Monstropolis will feature various experiences inspired by the beloved Pixar franchise, including the Glob Theater, Archie's Scare Pig Pizza, Harryhausen's Restaurant, the Scareporium, and the Monsters University Alumni Club. Guests will be able to enjoy unique monster-themed cuisine, meet characters from the movies, and immerse themselves in the world of monsters.
The main attraction, the Monsters, Inc. Door Coaster, is still under construction and is expected to be completed by early 2027. Vice President Creative at Walt Disney World Portfolio, Michael Hundgen, stated that 'Monsters, Inc' is an iconic location and a key part of the franchise's enduring appeal.
