Monstropolis Takes Shape on Hollywood Studios with Roller Coaster and New Music

Construction on Disney's Hollywood Studios is picking up speed as the Monstropolis area takes shape. The new land, which will be home to a full-sized roller coaster themed after the Door Vault from Monsters, Inc., has been in development for several years.

The massive show building and coaster track are now visible in the park's skyline, with some visitors able to catch glimpses of the inverted coaster design. The new land is expected to open ahead of the roller coaster attraction, which will debut in 2027.
