A Texas mother, Kristin Swanson, expressed her frustration with UnitedHealthcare on TikTok after the company denied coverage for her nearly four-year-old son's scheduled 30-minute outpatient procedure.

Swanson claims that the insurer presented another option that only added to her frustration: upgrading her son's insurance plan for an additional $1,000 and starting over with a new deductible.
