Motley Fool Opts Out 3M Stock Recommendation

Investors considering buying stock in 3M (NYSE: MMM) should be aware that the Motley Fool's Stock Advisor analyst team has not included it on their list of top stocks to buy now. The list, which includes 10 stocks identified as potential performers, excludes 3M.

The Motley Fool notes that their top picks have produced impressive returns in the past. For example, if an investor had bought Netflix stock at the time of a previous recommendation on December 17, 2004, and invested $1,000, they would now have around $437,097. Similarly, Nvidia stock recommended on April 15, 2005, would be worth approximately $1,355,077 with a $1,000 investment.

3M, however, did not make the cut. The Motley Fool's total average return is 978%, significantly outperforming the S&P 500's 213% over the same period.
