Motorcyclist Crashes Into Amazon Protesters Near Riverside
On Wednesday morning near Riverside, California, a motorcyclist intentionally crashed into Amazon protesters outside a warehouse. The protest was part of an organized walkout calling for better working conditions and pay from Amazon workers.
The two demonstrators who were injured appeared to have only minor injuries and were not Amazon employees. They were local union members supporting the Amazon workers.
Amazon spokesperson Sam Stephenson said the company is aware of the incident, which occurred 'during an unlawful Teamsters demonstration.'
Riverside County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene around 10:30 a.m. and determined that Jesus Salcido Perez, 40, had intentionally accelerated into the crowd, striking two people.
