Motorcyclist Dies in Crash with Amazon Van in NC

A 42-year-old man, identified as Christopher Ryan Preston, lost his life in a motorcycle crash involving an Amazon delivery van on Forney Hill Road in Lincoln County, North Carolina.

Preston was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it collided with a gray Amazon delivery van driven by Nazir Zakari Karimou, 24, who was attempting to make a left turn from Maple Brook Drive.

Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol determined that speed was a contributing factor in the crash. Fortunately, Karimou only suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.

No charges will be filed as a result of the investigation.
