Motorola's New Smartwatch Gives Google and Samsung a Run for Their Money
Motorola has entered the smartwatch market with its first LTE-enabled model, the Moto Watch Ultra. This newcomer boasts impressive features and specs that could give Google and Samsung a run for their money.
The Moto Watch Ultra is priced at around 429 euros in European markets and will be available on store shelves within the next few weeks. In the US, it will launch on September 10th for $349 via Motorola and Amazon, making it a more affordable option compared to other flagship smartwatches.
The device features a premium design with a brushed stainless steel case and a 1.5-inch OLED touchscreen. It also includes two physical controls, a standard button, and a digital crown that doubles as a button.
The Moto Watch Ultra runs on Google's Wear OS platform, which supports useful apps like Google Wallet and Google Translate. It also features Gemini AI capabilities and an onboard microphone and speaker for taking on-wrist calls. For health and fitness tracking, the device has partnered with Polar and includes dual-band GPS for accurate tracking.
Battery life is a key aspect of any smartwatch, and Motorola claims that the Moto Watch Ultra should last up to two days without using the always-on display mode. A 15-minute charge can provide enough power for 24 hours of use.
