MS-21 Seeks Fuel Efficiency without Split Winglets
The MS-21 aircraft is aiming to match the efficiency of the Boeing 737 MAX without relying on its signature split winglets. The Russian-designed plane has completed its main test program and will receive new opportunities to improve efficiency, according to aviation expert Roman Gusarov.
Gusarov noted that improving aerodynamic qualities will play a significant role in reducing fuel consumption. He also mentioned that the MS-21's wings are designed for range, with a maximum distance of 3840 kilometers.
