MSD Appoints Experienced Leader for Philippines Operations
Merck & Co., Inc.'s Philippine subsidiary, MSD, has appointed Mary Srethapakdi as its new Managing Director for the country. She will also continue to lead the company's operations in Thailand.
Srethapakdi has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, holding senior leadership roles at prominent health care companies, including advising globally during her tenure at Boston Consulting Group.
She joined MSD as Managing Director for Thailand in 2021, driving business growth and advancing initiatives to improve patient access. With a background in biochemistry and molecular biology from Cornell University, Srethapakdi aims to expand access to innovative medicines and vaccines, strengthen healthcare partnerships, and address evolving patient needs.
In her new role, she emphasizes deepening collaboration with stakeholders and improving patient access across the country, 'I am honored to lead MSD in the Philippines at a critical juncture, when health is a pronounced priority in the public and private sectors.'
