Munich's Cello Revolutionizes SaaS Referrals with Slack-Powered Growth
Cello, a Munich-based AI-powered referral platform for software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies, has found success in using Slack as its primary communication and collaboration tool. Founded by Stefan Bader, Cello's platform connects directly with a company's product, CRM, and payment systems to power referral and partner programs.
Bader saw the need for such a platform firsthand when word of mouth stalled at another SaaS company he worked with. After failing to find existing software that could turn word of mouth into a formal referral program, Bader created Cello. The company's challenge was building before it had a team or tools in place.
Cello standardized its stack on day one, using Slack for communication and Google Workspace for documents, mail, and calendar. Slack has been essential to Cello's growth, allowing the company to move faster with every product feature. Instead of delaying launch until every customer-facing surface was ready, Cello used existing infrastructure to ship features quickly.
