Munster Doubles iPhone Duo Revenue Forecast, Sees Apple Outperforming Next Week
Apple's new iPhone Duo has generated significant excitement among analysts and investors. The device, priced at $1,999 for the base model, is Apple's first foldable smartphone and its largest iPhone redesign in nearly two decades.
Gene Munster, a managing partner at Deepwater Asset Management, believes the Duo will be a game-changer for Apple. He has doubled his estimate for the Duo's fiscal 2027 share of iPhone revenue from 5% to 10%, citing the device's thin design and nearly seamless screen.
Munster also expects Apple's split iPhone launch cycle to boost its March-quarter performance, potentially lifting iPhone revenue by 5% and total Apple revenue by 2.5% in fiscal 2027.
However, not everyone is convinced that the Duo will be a success. Morningstar raised its fair value estimate for Apple to $290 from $285, citing higher pricing assumptions after adding the Duo to its projections.
