Muppets Coaster Permit Raises Questions About Future Changes
Disney's Hollywood Studios is in the midst of significant changes, including the recent transformation of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets into a Muppets-themed ride. The attraction's new storyline features Kermit, Miss Piggy, and other beloved characters from the classic TV show.
The ride's conversion was completed recently, replacing its Aerosmith branding with a Muppets-centric narrative. The queue experience, show effects, and score have all been revamped to fit the new theme.
However, a new permit filed by Disney on August 26 has raised questions about the scope of the changes. The document, submitted by Disney's Sourcing & Procurement division, names Buena Vista Construction Company as the party responsible for providing labor and materials for construction. Industry observers note that such filings often correspond to routine maintenance or unfinished punch-list items following a reopening.
