Murder-For-Hire Conviction Rocks Microsoft Designer's Family
A man has been convicted of arranging the murder-for-hire killing of a Microsoft design manager in Florida. Jared Bridegan was shot twice in 2022 after he stopped to remove a tire from the road, with his daughter sitting nearby in her car seat.
The prosecution believes the attack was part of a larger scheme related to a stormy child custody arrangement between Bridegan and his wealthy ex-wife, Shanna Gardner. Prosecutors say Fernandez Saldana hired Henry Tenon to carry out the fatal ambush, despite Tenon having no personal connection to Bridegan.
The conviction comes after months of investigation by police, who struggled to understand why someone with no apparent enemies would be killed. The prosecution presented evidence that three checks totaling $10,000 were written to Tenon after the homicide, marked as payments for handyman work and a business idea from Fernandez Saldana.
