Musk Companies Settle Apple Antitrust Suit

Elon Musk's xAI and X Corp have settled an antitrust lawsuit against Apple. The two companies had accused Apple of favoring OpenAI's ChatGPT over competing chatbot makers.

The original lawsuit, filed in August, claimed that Apple's integration of OpenAI technology into the iPhone operating system limited competition and innovation in the AI industry while reducing consumer choice.

xAI and X Corp sought billions of dollars in damages but have now agreed to a settlement with Apple. However, claims against OpenAI remain active.

The companies stated that the settlement applies only to Apple, not OpenAI, which is accused of maintaining an unlawful monopoly over the chatbot market through anti-competitive practices.
