Musk Pledges Exclusive Nvidia Partnership for SpaceX AI Infrastructure
SpaceX's Q2 earnings report revealed a significant surge in AI-related capital expenditures, which overshadowed its strong revenue beat. The company reported $7.81 billion in revenue, representing 92% year-over-year growth and exceeding analyst expectations of $6.82 billion.
However, the massive spending on AI has triggered free cash flow concerns, even as CEO Elon Musk projected that SpaceX would reach a $100 billion annualized revenue run rate by December 2026.
Musk also announced during the earnings call that SpaceX would build its AI infrastructure exclusively on Nvidia's Vera Rubin architecture, declaring it the best available. This partnership encompasses both terrestrial data centers and the planned Starmind AI-1 orbital computing satellites.
