Musk's SpaceX Shareholders Revealed: Alphabet, Valor Among Largest Stakeholders
SpaceX has released its list of shareholders with at least a 5% stake in the company, ahead of its blockbuster IPO in June. The largest shareholder is Elon Musk, who owns roughly 6.42 billion shares, or about 49% of the company.
This massive stake makes Musk by far the world's wealthiest person, with a net worth of $860 billion as of Wednesday's close, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, Waymo, YouTube, and Android, owns around 551 million shares, representing a roughly 4.2% stake in SpaceX. This stake was valued at $94 billion at the end of June.
Valor Equity Partners, a private equity and venture capital firm founded by Antonio Gracias, holds 503.4 million shares for a 3.8% stake in SpaceX, worth $86 billion on June 30.
