Elon Musk's xAI and X Corp. have settled an antitrust lawsuit against Apple, according to a report from Bloomberg.

The lawsuit, filed in August, accused Apple of favoring OpenAI's ChatGPT over competing chatbot makers, which Musk's companies claimed limited competition and innovation in the AI industry while reducing consumer choice.

Musk's companies sought billions of dollars in damages, claiming Apple's integration of OpenAI technology into the iPhone operating system was anti-competitive.

The settlement only applies to Apple, with claims against OpenAI remaining active. The suit alleges OpenAI maintains an unlawful monopoly over the chatbot market through anti-competitive practices.
