Elon Musk's xAI and X Corp have reached a settlement in an antitrust case against Apple, according to a report from Bloomberg. The two companies asked a federal judge in Texas to approve the voluntary dismissal of the lawsuit on Monday.

The original lawsuit was filed in August, accusing Apple of favoring OpenAI's ChatGPT over competing chatbot makers. Musk's companies sought billions of dollars in damages, claiming Apple's integration of OpenAI technology into the iPhone operating system limited competition and innovation in the artificial intelligence industry while reducing consumer choice.

The settlement applies only to Apple, with claims against OpenAI remaining active. The suit alleges that OpenAI maintains an unlawful monopoly over the chatbot market through anti-competitive practices.
