Nana's Legacy Lives On: Kay Frances Dayton Remembered
Kay Frances Dayton, affectionately known as Nana, lived an extraordinary life that spanned nearly nine decades. Born on November 2, 1938, in Appleton, Wisconsin, she was a graduate of Holy Cross Grade School and Kaukauna High School, where she served as senior class president.
After attending Marquette University and the University of Texas-Austin, Kay married John E. Dayton, Jr., on September 2, 1957, in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. She went on to work as a Sales Representative for Procter & Gamble Co., Liggett Group, Inc., and ProtoCall, Inc.
Kay was deeply involved in her community, teaching CCD classes at St Pius Catholic Church in Beaumont and volunteering with the Beaumont West End Little League Association. She also served as Vice President of Monsignor Kelly High School Home and Resource Center and Chairwoman of their Chaperon Committee.
