Nancy Vandewinckel Passes Away at 71 After 40 Years at IBM
Nancy Vandewinckel, a devoted wife and mother of one, passed away at home on August 15, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was the daughter of James and Ilah Crisp. Nancy had been married to Stephen E. Vandewinckel for 35 years, having moved to Racine with him in 2022.
Before her passing, Nancy lived in Colorado for most of her life, where she retired after 40 years at IBM in Boulder. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Racine, where she volunteered on various tasks and served as a communion bread baker.
Nancy's family will receive friends and family from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to her funeral service at the church on August 27. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
