Navigating South Korea's Visa Process for Indian Tourists: A Straightforward Guide
South Korea has become an increasingly popular destination for travelers, thanks in part to K-dramas and the global phenomenon of BTS. For Indian tourists, navigating the visa application process can be a daunting task.
Travel vlogger Ishita Negi recently took to social media to share her experience with obtaining a South Korean visa. She explained that the process is surprisingly straightforward.
The first step is gathering all necessary documents, including a passport, completed online visa application form, six months' salary slips, three years of Income Tax Returns (ITRs), three months' bank statements, and a declaration form.
Once these documents are in order, applicants can head to the South Korea VFS centre. Ishita noted that most centres accept walk-in applications, although it's always best to check ahead of time. At the centre, applicants will be given a token number and must wait until their turn is called.
During this process, applicants will need to submit their application along with their passport and supporting documents. The visa fee for Indian travellers is ₹5,130, which must be paid at the VFS counter during the application process. Ishita advises keeping a copy of the payment receipt handy, as it may come in useful later when collecting the passport.
The entire process typically takes around two weeks to complete. Those interested in visiting South Korea can refer to Ishita's video for more detailed guidance and insights into the visa application process.
