NCLT Rejects Jet Airways' Bid for $92M Boeing Refund Over Undelivered Planes

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Mumbai has dismissed Jet Airways' plea to recover $92.129 million from Boeing, the aircraft manufacturer that was owed advance payments for undelivered planes.

Jet Airways had paid Boeing as much as ₹500 crore in 2013 to secure aircraft, but the planes were never delivered due to disputes over payment terms and delivery dates.

The tribunal ruled that the dispute between Jet Airways and Boeing was a contractual matter, not an insolvency-related issue, and therefore fell outside its jurisdiction under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
