Nest Hubs Hit with Widespread Outage, Users Left in the Dark
Google's Nest Hub devices suffered a widespread outage lasting several hours on Tuesday night. Reports flooded in from users on Reddit, describing a complete breakdown of functionality across multiple regions.
The outage, which appeared to start around 12-3am ET, caused voice commands to fail, routines not to run, and some devices' screens to go completely blank. At least one user reported their device becoming stuck in the boot-up screen after rebooting.
Fortunately, Google resolved the issue relatively quickly, allowing users to regain access to their Nest Hubs' features. Despite this incident, no explanation has been provided by the company regarding what caused the problem.
