Netwrix has released updates to its identity security products, Netwrix PingCastle and Netwrix Threat Manager. These updates give organizations greater visibility into AI agents operating as identities within Microsoft Entra ID.

The new capabilities allow for inventorying of AI agent identities and the display of their access rights. This extends monitoring already available for service accounts, including risk insights, abnormal behavior detection, attack context, and adds new threat detection for Azure Files, protecting file shares against ransomware.

Netwrix Threat Manager 3.3 can now inventory AI agent identities and show the access they hold, with a planned release of agent-specific threat detection later on.

The release addresses an emerging identity-management problem as enterprises deploy autonomous agents with access to applications and data.
