NHS Trust Recognized for Menopause Support Efforts
The North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust has been recognized for its efforts to create an inclusive workplace for employees experiencing menopause. The trust is a finalist in the Menopause and Menstruation Friendly Employers Awards, alongside top organizations such as American Express and HSBC.
With over 70% of its workforce made up of women in mid-life, the trust has developed a program to support employees dealing with challenging menopause symptoms. This includes the creation of confidential spaces for colleagues to share experiences and offer peer support, as well as training for menopause advocates to help challenge stigma.
Lucy Gardner, chief strategy and partnerships officer, said: 'I am absolutely delighted that the trust has been shortlisted for this award and recognized for our work to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for our staff.'
