Nigerian Sisters Achieve Rare Academic Double Feat in UK

Stephanie and Isabel Offor, two Nigerian sisters from Corby in the UK, have achieved an impressive academic feat by graduating with First Class Honours in the same year. Stephanie studied mechanical engineering at the University of Leicester, while Isabel graduated from Nottingham Trent University's Faculty of Law and Business.

According to reports, this achievement is extremely rare, as quoted by Director of Creativity and Sense Consulting, Ogo Ogbata: 'Having two sisters graduate with First Class Honours in entirely different, rigorous disciplines (mechanical engineering and law with business) is an incredibly rare academic double feat.'

Stephanie's hard work paid off when she won the Goldsmith Prize 2025 for her excellent work during her placement year. She will now begin working as a manufacturing engineer at Caterpillar, a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.

Isabel was one of only 11 students in her cohort of 47 to graduate with First Class Honours from Nottingham Trent University. Isabel's mother, Oluchi Offor, expressed her pride in her daughters, saying they had given her 'wings to fly.'
