Nike Strength Equipment Falls Short for Hardcore Enthusiasts
Nike, known for its sportswear and fashion, has expanded into strength equipment with its Nike Strength line. Launched in 2023, this officially licensed equipment line is operated by Dimension 6 Fitness Corporation and includes a range of products such as kettlebells, dumbbells, racks, weight benches, barbells, and plates.
Nike Strength's founder Drew Conant told Men's Health that the company aimed to create a more complete training experience for athletes by bringing its commitment to innovation, performance, and design to the equipment used every day. The line was launched with significant hype, given Nike's reputation and $46 billion revenue in fiscal 2026.
However, the response from hardcore equipment enthusiasts was mixed. While the lineup looked good and the prices were high, many felt that the build quality was only fine and not worth the premium paid for the Nike brand. Some owners have been more positive, praising the build quality and thoughtful features such as ergonomic handles on the dumbbells.
Nike Strength has expanded its product line to include racks, benches, storage, flooring, and accessories. The company's design instincts aim to make the equipment appealing to athletes and casual lifters alike. However, the value of these features is still a subject of debate among users.
