Nike Taps Walmart Vet for Turnaround Push
Nike (NKE) is bringing in Jane Ewing as its new Chief Commercial Officer to help revive sales and rebuild momentum after its stock fell to a 12-year low of $38.17 per share.
Ewing comes from Walmart, where she spent almost 14 years holding multiple major leadership roles, including senior vice president of Sustainability and senior vice president of International Operations.
Nike's CEO Elliott Hill praised Ewing as a 'builder' with deep global experience and a strong passion for sport. He said her leadership will help Nike speed up growth across both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels.
