New Mexico's Democratic lawmakers in Congress are pushing Apple and Google to keep the state's name unchanged on their map applications.
The move comes after President Donald Trump hinted at renaming New Mexico 'New America' in a series of posts on Truth Social.
However, the president cannot unilaterally rename a state, which makes his proposal unlikely to succeed.
