North Yorkshire Pilates Firm Goes Bust Owing Over £1 Million
A popular North Yorkshire pilates firm has gone into liquidation owing over £1 million. Ebru Evim Ltd, which operated in Harrogate's James Street, closed its studio in April due to high costs for premises. The company was incorporated in 2019 and had a Google rating of 4.6 stars out of five based on 54 reviews.
The business offered pilates, hot yoga, and other classes, but was unable to pay its debts. According to the Statement of Affairs, Ebru Evim Ltd owed HMRC £112,252.01 and had a 'floating charge' debt of £28,427.03. The company also had unsecured creditors owing £937,503.61.
The largest debt listed was £585,801.91 owed to Guernsey Investments Ltd, while the second-largest debt was nearly £257,962.66 owed to Anthony and Vanessa Roberts. HMRC was owed almost £120,000 in PAYE, VAT, and corporation tax.
