Northern Air Cargo Bolsters Fleet with Second Retrofitted 737-800 Freighter

Northern Air Cargo has expanded its fleet with a second retrofitted Boeing 737-800 freighter, which arrived in Anchorage last week. The aircraft, leased from World Star Aviation and over 22 years old, boasts around 18 tonnes of capacity.

The airline views this addition as more than just extra capacity - it will help meet customer demand, maintain reliable service, and provide greater flexibility across its Alaska network.

This new freighter joins Northern Air Cargo's existing fleet, which includes another Boeing 737-800F, a Boeing 737-400F, and a Boeing 737-300F. The airline recently launched a direct cargo route between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
