Nscale Invests $3.5 Billion in Figure's Humanoid Robotics Operations
Nscale, a London-based company, has announced a partnership with Figure, a humanoid robotics firm. The deal involves Nscale committing to provide at least $3.5bn of computing power to Figure's operations, with an intent to scale past $6bn. This will be achieved through the use of up to 100,000 Nvidia GPUs running on Vera Rubin platform.
Nscale has also made a strategic investment in Figure, becoming a shareholder and its preferred compute provider. Figure's founder and CEO Brett Adcock described the constraint as data and compute rather than money, stating that Helix improves the way learned systems do with more of both.
Figure has been growing rapidly, closing a round above $1bn at a $39bn valuation in September 2025. However, it lacked somewhere to run the training, which is now being addressed through Nscale's computing power. The deal also includes an exploration of scaling Nscale's supply chain with humanoids.
Nvidia has been involved in both companies' financing rounds and has described the arrangement as a 'robotics flywheel', with its silicon at every stage. The deal raises questions about the sustainability of the compute costs for Figure, which currently has a $3.5bn compute bill.
