Nscale Seeks $3 Billion in US IPO Amid AI Data Center Rush
Nscale, a London-based artificial intelligence data center company, is planning to raise up to $3 billion in its initial public offering (IPO) in the US. The company has reportedly told prospective investors that it has around $51 billion of total contracted revenue ahead of the listing.
The IPO, which could take place as soon as September, will be backed by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co., according to Bloomberg. Nscale is developing data centers in locations including Norway and West Virginia, with plans to add 10 gigawatts of power for its AI computing centers.
Companies like Nscale are investing heavily in chips and other equipment to lease out processing power, which has led to a surge in the development of artificial intelligence data center companies. This rush is reflected in the growing interest from investors, with several companies tapping public market funding to support their growth plans.
