NTWind's Alt-Tab Terminator Offers Improved Window Switching for Windows 11
Tony Phillips, an experienced Microsoft Office user and How-To Geek writer, had grown tired of Windows 11's Alt+Tab switcher. With numerous windows open, he found it difficult to navigate and identify specific windows using the built-in thumbnails.
Phillips discovered NTWind's Alt-Tab Terminator, a free alternative that provides a vertical list of open windows on the left side of the screen, with a larger live preview on the right. This layout allows users to see the contents of each window before switching to it.
The switcher also features a full-screen button, which expands the view when pressed, and adjusts the preview size according to the window's dimensions. Users can navigate through the list using keyboard shortcuts or mouse gestures, including scrolling and clicking on specific windows.
