Nvidia and Amazon have announced an expanded partnership that will see AWS deploy 2 million additional Nvidia GPUs across its global network in 2027 and 2028. This move is expected to give Nvidia unusually long demand visibility, while also reinforcing Amazon's determination to keep AWS competitive as AI workloads become a larger driver of cloud spending.

The expanded agreement covers Nvidia's Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra GPUs, as well as broader integration across CPUs, networking, open models, data processing, and robotics. Additionally, AWS and Nvidia plan to build AI factories for the U.S. government, including 100,000 GPUs dedicated to federal and national-security workloads.

The partnership also extends beyond raw compute, with Amazon Robotics set to adopt Nvidia's physical AI platform for warehouse automation. Meanwhile, AWS plans to offer infrastructure built around Nvidia Vera CPUs and deepen support for Nvidia's Nemotron models through Bedrock and SageMaker.
